- Is the star ceiling painted or a drape?
- In this render it is a printed fabric drape pinned across the ceiling, not a painted or plastered finish. That makes it a soft, removable option, which is good for renters, but it also sags over time and never reads as crisp as a real ceiling. A painted night sky is possible but is a real decorating job.
- Will celestial make a small bedroom feel smaller?
- Yes, and that is the trade. The navy walls and dark ceiling pull the room in and lean on lamps and string lights instead of daylight. In a small room that reads as a snug den, which some people want; if you need the space to feel open, this is the wrong style.
- Do I have to paint everything navy?
